Chapter Seven takes its name from chapter 7 of a book called Form, Space and Order by FDK Ching, a chapter called The Principles of Design. With its focus on how to use space properly with plenty of illustrations, it reflects our architectural knowledge and our meticulous attention to detail.

Andrew Smith
With my background in building services engineering and 2D & 3D design, I love solving technical problems so you don’t have to. I want your space to work for you and I’m meticulous about elegant details – whether it’s the precise fit of a cupboard or a door handle that feels good in your hand.
My interest in interior design developed when I did my degree in Architectural Technology and Digital Innovation at the University of Derby, where I understood the relationship between functional and beautiful finishing and how they come together for a room or home to feel luxurious.
I want you to enjoy the process, so I’ll work closely with you and with Joanne and our subcontractors throughout, responding to how you live and adding personal touches to make your home feel extra special.

Joanne Smith
I take care of the project coordination side of things, supporting you through the process from your very first ideas to the day you walk through your new home.
I’ll handle everything from sourcing materials and organising people, to making sure your project is finished on time and within budget. You’ll have me there to listen and answer questions, and help make everything as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
My background is in business management, sales and marketing, so I have the experience to handle every step of a project. I work closely with Andrew to understand the design and with our network of trusted suppliers and subcontractors to get the installation and finishing just right for the sophisticated home you dream about.
