Transforming a magnolia shell into a personal haven
The brief
Imagine living in a home that feels more like a blank canvas than a cozy retreat. Our client, living in their new build home since 2018, found themselves in just that situation—a magnolia shell lacking personality and charm. They were eager for a transformation that would add character, soul, and their unique personality into their home. Their vision? A ground-floor renovation that would breathe new life into their home, creating spaces that inspire and reflect their individual style.
Our solution
We began with the transformation of their study into a versatile reception room/reading nook. By removing the door and sections of walls, we opened the space, inviting natural light and creating an airy atmosphere. To enhance the sense of space, we installed an oak herringbone floor throughout. In the living room, we introduced a chimney breast to provide a focal point that draws the eye.
Every detail was meticulously considered, from the all-new lighting fixtures with brass detailing to the bespoke furniture and cushions that convey comfort and style. We carefully curated accessories and artworks to reflect the client's tastes, filling each space with warmth and personality. Even the cloakroom received a modern makeover, with sleek grey tiles and brass hardware adding a touch of elegance.
But we didn't stop there. We refreshed the stairs and landing with plush new carpeting and sleek black metal spindles, ensuring a cohesive flow throughout the home. The result? A space that not only looks breathtaking but also enhances our client's daily life, providing a sanctuary where they can truly be themselves and create lasting memories with family and friends.
