Interior Designer in Knowle
Knowle and Dorridge are full of houses with real presence. Substantial family homes, mock Tudor properties that make a statement from the road, and a steady supply of newer executive builds with generous proportions. What they have in common is that the frontage is rarely the problem. The interesting decisions are inside, in layouts that were drawn for a different way of living and now need to earn their space.
Andy spent over twenty years on the technical side of buildings before moving into residential interiors, so he looks at how a house is actually built before he looks at how it could feel. On a substantial Knowle home, often heading for extension or reconfiguration, that means knowing which internal walls are doing real work, where the services run, and how far a plan can be pushed before the structure pushes back.
We do not design around the structure and hope it cooperates. We work out what it will give us, then commit to it.
Presence Is the Easy Part
Chapter Seven Design is Andy and Joe Smith. A renovation in a house you are still living in is as much a logistics problem as a design one, and that part is Joe's. She holds the programme, the trades and the long run of decisions a project like this throws up, so the disruption stays in proportion to the result.
We take on full home renovations across Knowle and Dorridge, and focused work on single rooms done properly, from principal suites to a kitchen reworked around how the family actually uses it. Knowle sits within the county we cover most, see our interior designer in Warwickshire page, and our work next door in Solihull.
If you are renovating in Knowle or Dorridge and want the building understood before it is designed, we would like to hear about it.
